Pitaya Atelier ("Pitaya", "we", "us") is a London interior renovation and decoration studio. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you enquire about, or engage us to work on, your home. You can contact us at homeslashroom@gmail.com or +44 7341 110 775.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information you give us directly: your name, email address, telephone number, and the address and details of the property you would like us to consider. Where you appoint us, we also collect billing and bank details, and the names of others in your household we may need to coordinate with. We do not collect special category data.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, to prepare quotations and design proposals, to deliver and manage your project, to maintain records for tax and accounting, and to communicate with you about your home. We rely on your consent and on the contract between us as the legal basis for this processing.
4. Sharing your information
We share information only where it is necessary to deliver your project — with trusted trades, suppliers, building control and, where required, our accountant. We never sell your data, and we do not share it for marketing. Where a third party needs your details, we share only what is required for the task.
5. Retention
We keep enquiry records for twelve months if a project does not proceed, and project and accounting records for seven years after completion, as required for tax purposes. After that, records are securely deleted or returned to you.
6. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to erase it where we are no longer entitled to keep it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses minimal analytics to understand which pages are visited. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, holding it on access-controlled systems and sharing it only as described above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we treat your data with the same care we treat our own.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will draw them to your attention when we next contact you.
