Marylebone Mews

A mews house behind a Marylebone square, reworked end to end. We stripped it back to the brick and steel of the original stable block and let the long, low proportions do the talking, opening the ground floor to a walled courtyard.

Oak runs through the joinery and the floors; steel is left honest and blackened. Light arrives sideways, down the narrow mews, and the house is arranged to catch it — living low, sleeping up under the rafters.
